## Notes
Abstraction of more than 20 cubic metres of water a day requires an abstraction licence
from the Environment Agency. At or below that threshold no licence is needed. Boreholes
deeper than 15 metres must be notified to the British Geological Survey under the Water
Resources Act 1991.
